Will there be enough high-quality CD players at the disposal of ESD instructors in all concurrent classes since old cassette players will no longer be valid?

We will be getting new CD players and hopefully soon.
I wasn't able to attend the workshop because I had a class at 3.00pm. Could you arrange new workshops and post their times and dates any soon?
I attended the orientation session led by Dr David Evans, and I remember that he mentioned something about videos included in the new curriculum. I also recall that he talked about DVDs that are a component of the teacher's pack. Films are a very interesting teaching means. They engage students like no other means do, especially when they're a courtesy of "Nat Geo". We need rooms equipped with data show devices, speakers, and up-to-date computers with internet access. It's really a shame that the AUC teachers still use such obsolete equipment i.e. OHPs and cassettes. By the way, half of them don't work.
NB : Yes, I'll keep my fingers crossed. :) Monzer,
If you are in the Falaky building you will find that most or nearly all the rooms are smart rooms. You have a DVD player, Data show, linked to speakers and you have a computer liked to the net. If you want to use your own computer there is that too.But in the Main some rooms are smart ones but most of them are not yet. So you can reserve the things you need through an email sent to Shadia telling her what you want with the days and times and correct room number. You have a number on the room door or the desk with number of the help which can be reached if you have a problem with the equipments on the spot. Hope this is helpful
What about smart rooms....and we can forget about cd players, photocopy, as there is a scanner that is projected on the screen, even on the spot activities via net connections .....we can then welcome the 21 century but this brings us to the problem that some of our instructors need workshops on how to use all this multimedia.....
I have a few suggestions that might help make our life easier: 1-Reorganize teachers' room 08. 2-Convert all cassette tapes to digital audio files stored on CDs or on the permenant memory of the AUC's laptops. 3-Support teachers with some tools like: guillotines, hole punchers, staplers, computers , a printer ,and a photocopier.
For number 1 I'm willing to volunteer, because I'm really fed up with quiz envelopes having different quiz sheets from the one stapled to the envelope.(only to name one problem of many)
A series of workshops is coming up on April 11th. The title is "From CDF to classroom practice"; each of the 5 workshops addresses one of the new stages. They are orientations to the level books and other resources, syllabi, self assessment, book coverage rate, teacher's guide and student copy and continual assessment. The workshops which run from 9.30 to 5.30 are presented by different CDF writers and stage mentors as a means of ensuring smooth transition into the new curriculum. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Thank you for saying "most of them are not yet".
Actually, I've never taught at Falaki building.
